Healthy Options Program for the Elderly
The Healthy Options Program for the Elderly (HOPE) provides a monthly supplemental box of nutritious food tailored to improve the health and nutrition of low income home bound seniors.
In 2018, HOPE provided 2,687 meals and served 18 home bound senior citizens.
“I am so thankful Brazosport Cares delivers me a box of food once a month. Before I enrolled with the home delivery program I would often wonder who I am going to make ends meet. I live on a modest paycheck from social security and I do not have family that lives near me.”
Eligibility
Brazosport Cares Food Pantry serves the Brazosport community. Eligibility is based on The Emergency Food Assistance Program income guidelines.
